Another Epic Drama from China covering the Ming Dynasty. Lots of political intrigue wonderful battle scenes (They were not stingy with the number of extras used). Blood and gore galore. The usual backstabbing and shifting of loyalties. This series will not only give you a good insight into the workings of the palace, its rules and rituals, but also allows the viewer to learn about the culture of China long before Mao popped onto the scene. Are there Gay bits in this series? If you take into account the present day censorship thanks to the CCP then the answer is still a resounding Yes! |
